Pitch Hiking
( ) in the Mountain opened our doors for a long evening dedicated to enjoying local live music acts.
That evening, we shared the floor of our project and studio space with three acoustic musician groups and three electronic artists. Organised in collaboration with our resident at the time, Joey Moedas, we created and shared an indie, DIY experience: a summer festival on a shoe-string budget, focused on group enjoyment and bonding.
The event began with a warm, cosy, and lyrical acoustic set by Oly. in a duet with Lucy, who together gave a gentle performance of touching tunes from a soft couch.
The audience was later welcome to alternate towards a darker back side of the venue, where Sacre shared his textural electronic composition, blending the ambient sounds with light rhythms.

Next up was twelve Inch, our resident’s band. Their lighthearted attitude, blithe lyrics, and indie sound created a soft and welcoming atmosphere, capturing the spirit of a small, summer festival perfectly.
Radu-Mihai took us back to electronic sounds, where they incorporated heavier beats, a video narrative, and a masked performance. They confidently approached the crowd from within their costume throughout their set, dancing to the beat and calming down as its intensity lowered.
The next band, Macula, kept the energy going throughout the evening. Sharing their heavy rock tunes and vibrant songwriting, they didn’t let the crowd down with their energy and loud performance.
Lastly, kitarumo closed off the night with a subtle and ambient set.
